EWS Managed API - Hyperlink to Meeting Occurrence in Email RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've noticed you can programmatically put a hyperlink to a meeting/calendar entry into an email and the meeting will be opened when usere reads this email and clicks the hyperlink (e.g. two user use a shared calendar). This only works if this calendar is added to your outlook client and is already selected/activated. The hyperlink looks like

    <A HREF="outlook:[EntryID]">Click here to open meeting </A>
That works just fine with single meetings. I'd like to do the same for recurring meetings, but have a hyperlink to each meeting occurrence instead of the master appointment. How could that be done? I've checked calendar entries using Outlook Spy for unique identifiers or any possiblity to manage that. I've also noticed that when sending a Meeting from Outlook to OneNot that works, too. The link looks similar to link shown above but has additionally the exact start date of the meeting occurence appended like:
    <A HREF="outlook:[EntryId]&date=201211201400]">Click here to open meeting</A>
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)
