Webmatrix 2 or 3 ? RRS feed

    Hi,

    i'm quite confused:

asp.net web site seems to mention only webmatrix 2 (also majority of posts in this forum), yet when I go here http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/ it seems webmatrix 3 is the version to use (it's not mentionned it's a preview version).

So what's the deal ? Which version should I install ?

WebMatrix is the development tool. Web Pages is the development framework. WebMatrix is on version 3, but Web Pages is on version 2.

WebMatrix 3 is the newest version of WebMatrix and was only release a few months back so a majority of the tutorials and walkthroughs that are available online will most likcly not mention it.

Version 3 should be able to handle just about everything that you can do with Webmatrix 2 and most of the resources available online (such as walkthroughs and examples should still be relevant).

    ok.

I almost missed Webmatrix, which corresponds exactly to my needs. It is a great plateform, you should be more agressive in promoting it, it has the potential to attract a lot of new web developpers.
