I've setup this Wordpress site using Web Platform Installer. I am having a delay of about 20 seconds before the main page loads.

The things I've tried so far is changing mysql hostname to at wp-config file, adding skip-name-resolve to my.ini, changing fastcgi instance max. requests to 40, making default document index.php etc,  but nothing works. Does ayone have another idea? Thanks.

Site is running on a Windows 2008 server, dns server on the same machine, php version 5.5.3, mysql version 5.6.

UPDATE:  I have deleted the WPI site and installed Wordpress manually. I'm still testing, but it looks like the problem has gone away.

In case you still encounter performance issues: the best way to tackle this migth be a combination of perfmon, network monitor and failed request tracing.

When troubleshooting a performance issue, it is very important to find the cause or bottleneck to determine the right solution.
