Windows CE 6.0 first run configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI.

How can I configure my Wince image for first run without default settings screens?

When my device run first time  I don't want show screen with calibrating, time zone selection and other settings. I want show desctop or my application.

Thanks and hope for you help.

  • The easiest way is to capture (export) the registry with the remote registry editor BEFORE you make any changes, then again AFTER you make all the required changes (note that you have to reconnect the remote registry editor to refresh the remote registry). Then compare the 2 exported "before" and "after" registries and put all the changes in your platform.reg or project.reg and rebuild the kernel.

    Good luck,

  • Huh?  Windows CE doesn't put up those screens by default, you would have had to write code to do that.    Find that code and remove it.
