use PC-VBA on Mac Office 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all.

I've written an xlam add on in Excel 2012, on my pc.

I have a friend who has a Mac, and is using Office 2013.

Does anyone know if an older vba add on, for PC will work in 2013, on a Mac?

Is there different coding for Mac's Office?

Are there any discussions on this?

    TYIA.

  • Current Windows Excel versions are 2010 and 2013, not 2012.

Current Mac Excel version is 2011, not 2013.

Many older Windows Excel VBA add-ins will work on the Mac, as long as the add-in code does not use ActiveX, ribbon, or other Windows-specific code.
