SQL Server Database synchronization RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have a scenario in which I have a local database and a real time database environment. I want to synchronize the real time database environment with the local database so that if any updates are done to the local database, it simultaneously updates the real time database environment.  Please tell how can I implement this? r there any tools in sql server 2005 which can help me to achieve the desired objective or any third party tools.

    Thanks in advance,

  • This can be done if you use transactional replication with updateable subscribers. Make sure you use the simultaneously commit changes option in the updateable subscriptions dialog when creating your subscription.

Note that the proper way to do this however is using a split write using MS DTS or some other transaction coordinator or even within ADO.Net itself.
