  • I think that you are correct in thinking that required "pieces" of .NET in v3.5 SP 1 will be supported beyond 4/2011.

    The notes that say that v3.5 SP1 is now considered a component of Windows and follow the parent product lifecycle apply. So, all "pieces" of the full .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 (incuuding 2.0 SP 2, 3.0, etc.) are part of the component.
