Help Viewer v2.0 of Visual Studio 2012 Update 1. Beeping while scrolling by mouse's wheel. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • When I scroll any big article in Help Viewer, beeps occur :) - funny bug.

For beeps, scrolling must be long, without breaks.

  • Hi Dmitry_V,

To make sure that it is not related to your Environment, whether it has the same issue in other machine? If it worked well in other machine, I’m afraid that you would check your Environment.  Maybe you could try to repair the installation.

  • I have the same problem as Dimitry_V on two different machines/installations. One is Win7 the other Win8.

I use a Logitech mouse on both systems. That mouse has a free running scroll wheel. I am used to scroll fast. But the beeping is really annoying.

  • I solved this by disabling smooth scrolling in IE advanced settings
