Azure Portal vs Azure media Services Explorer RRS feed

    1. When uploading from Azure services explorer, it does not apply in portal.
    2. The first was uploaded and encoded using a Azure services explorer.
    3. the video uploaded by the Azure services explorer is displayed as unknown in the portal list.

  • It sounds like you used the v3 version of Azure Media Services Explorer when you uploaded and encoded the video.  There are actually two versions of Azure Media Services Explorer.  There is one for the Media Services v2 API and one for the v3 API.  Currently the Azure web portal (https://portal.azure.com) only uses the v2 Media Services API.  This means that assets created with the v3 API will show up in the portal as you describe.  If you need to interact with both the Azure web portal as well as with AMSE, I'd recommend sticking with the v2 version of AMSE for now.  Eventually (no specific timeframe yet) we will update the Azure portal to use the v3 API and the assets you created in the v3 version of AMSE will be displayed as you expect.
