Color scheme for Office 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I determine the color scheme for Office 2010. Many posts point out that for Office 2007 it is in this registry key:

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\Theme

I'm running Office 2010 32bit on Windows 7 64bit, and this key doesn't exist. I've looked in the 14.0 section as well. Any ideas where it can now be found?

  • Hi,

I looked for that entry in Windows 7 32 bits with Office 2010 and is actually is under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Theme as you mention.

If the key is not present, that means that the default theme is used (Silver). Try configuring the e.g. the black color theme and that key will appear.

    Regards,

    Mauro.

  • Thanks Mauro. I don't know how I missed it. Anyway, the values are stored as: 1 = Blue, 2 = Silver, 3 = Black.

    Kind regards,

    Gareth.
