Can we un-install all the versions of .net framework from Windows 2003 SP2 server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can we un-install all the versions of .net framework from Windows 2003 SP2 server from "add/remove program" in control panel.(None of the application running in the server using .net framework)

If we un-install, will it impact any OS functionality

  • It appears that .NET Framework 1.1 comes embedded in WS 2003 (when you say WS 2003 SP2, I assume you mean exactly that and NOT WS2003 R2).

You cannot uninstall embedded .NET Frameworks from your OS. You can uninstall .NET versions  that were USER INSTALLED, but do so at your own risk. If you are really 100% sure that no programs on your system require .NET support, go ahead.
