    That's expected.

It's documented restriction of AlwaysOn Availability Groups. Refer http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff878487.aspx. Read section "Checklist: Requirements (Windows System)"

  • HI Bala,

One more question for OS configuration.

shall i configure different versions of OS like one node is windows 2008 and some other node  2008 r2 or 2012.

Alwayson works only SQL Server 2012 Enterprise? or any other versions.

    thanks in advance

  • HI Bala,

    Balmukund would be better :)

One more question for OS configuration.

shall i configure different versions of OS like one node is windows 2008 and some other node  2008 r2 or 2012.

I don't think Windows would allow that.

Alwayson works only SQL Server 2012 Enterprise? or any other versions.

SQL 2012 Enterprise and SQL 2014 Enterprise

    thanks in advance
