  • I have an HP SLATE 500, it has 64 Gig Drive, 2 Gig of Ram

the Atom processor, It runs the 32 bit version fairly quick and with most of the drivers working.

I saw the ESlate from Asus has a 12 inch screen and an i5 processor with 4 Gig of ram.

However I read there are driver issus and maybe display as well.

Can I get any comments from both sides?

I may buy the Asus also.

  • I have the Asus and there is really no comparison between the two tablets. With the Asus Slate, you can seriously replace your desktop/laptop. The HP slate can't. Running Windows 8 is working great on the Asus.

Not all drivers will work. The slate orientation will not switch and the hard buttons for the keyboard won't work. Otherwise, the slate is great.

I am running Windows 8 as my full time tablet and I have a Windows 7 hyper-v guest for work.

  • Thank you that is a helpful reply.

Do you have the Asus 12 or 10 inch display?

The Slate runs the full office suite, but the only real issue is the video web performance can get choppy.

Did your tablet come with an external Power supply, its not listed as a feature, but the blue tooth keyboard is, and doe that work also.
