  • Question

  • I would like to connect to a folder in a client computer that belongs to a domain. I always login locally to my laptop that is not part of the domain but has access by connecting it to the domain's network.  So obvously my local account is not in the domain account or user.  I would like to access it through windows explorer or better, create a direct shortcutr to it? How should I go about it?  Thank you

  • You can create a script that maps the share passing the domain credentials

    i.e.

         Net.exe Use Z: \\<Machine>\<Share> /U:<Domain>\<UserName> <Password>

You could then have this script run on Windows logon via the regkey HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

    Hope this helps
