  • Using SQL 2005 and microsoft visual studio to produce reports onto sharepoint.  I have written the sql to extract various fields including date fields and I want to say that if the TAD Field < todays date then colour the cell red.  I know I need to put in a IF statement but I have already formated the cell with the expression

    =FormatDateTime(Fields!ReqCompDte.Value,2)

what do I do now to get the cell Red.?

I also have a report which gives me three colums of dates a received date a start date and a completion date at present where there is no completion date in the database the date is comming through as 01/01/0001 instead of Null - how do I format this? is it in the code of the cell formating?  new to visual Basic reporting and will be asking lots of questions - Have tried online help but am battling to grasp all the technical words.  Is there any help for dummies?
