When I am running the .net class library file and getting DB connectivity issue. RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Dim db As Database = DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase("SQLDB08")
            Dim dsRead As DataSet = Nothing
            Dim dbCmd As DbCommand = Nothing
            dbCmd = db.GetStoredProcCommand("usp_ABC_Getdetails_")

    When I am running the logic I am getting below issue:

    Below is the app.config file:

        <section name="dataConfiguration" type="Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.Configuration.DatabaseSettings, Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" />
        <add name="SQLDB08" connectionString="Data Source=APSSQL01\V12;Initial Catalog=VTransQA;Integrated Security=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

    Also I have added references "Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.dll" and "Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common.dll"

  • Hi RamiReddy.com,

    Thank you for posting here.

    According to your question is more related to VB, I will move it to Visual Basic forum for suitable support.

    The CLR Forum discuss and ask questions about .NET Framework Base Classes (BCL) such as Collections, I/O, Regigistry, Globalization, Reflection. Also discuss all the other Microsoft libraries that are built on or extend the .NET Framework, including Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF), Charting Controls, CardSpace, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), Point of Sale (POS), Transactions.

    Best Regards,

  • You might want to take a look at the below thread. I would create a backup copy of your .config file before making changes.
