Where have text boxes gone ?

Question

I was trying to add some text to a simple start web site, e.g. a blurp about the site
In the edit mode there is no obvious way to create text and when i go into the add web forms i can't see this ?
>> Can you tell me where items like this live ?
Thanks

Hi,
I think you are trying to add Site Description after site creattion for this
You have to Go to Site Actions -> Site Settings ->Under Look and Feel Section -> Title, Decription and Icon Menu.
To Add content to your page you can use either Content edito/ Form Web part or use Wiki Pages instead of web part page, where you can type content directly.
Hope this will help you... if this is not the case please write more about your problem.
Thanks.... ________________ Baba- Edited by Babasaheb Monday, October 31, 2011 6:49 AM
