Is there a checkbox or something for "GRANT EXECUTE to MySQLGroup"? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've executed "GRANT EXECUTE TO [OURDOMAIN\user_group]" to allow the members of a group to execute any stored procedure in our database.  Where can I see a box checked for this T-SQL?  I looked at the Database User dialog in the database and I don't see any difference.

    Thanks,
    Eric B.

  • The closest you'll get is using securables. The catch is that you have to select the stored procedures and if some are added in the future you'll have to grant the permission as shown below.

  • 1. Create a role

    2. Add users to the role members

    3. Grant "Execute" permission to the role

  • Yes, Guoxiong, that is what I did.  Now how would I make this change without using T-SQL?
