  • Hi Josep,
    please open C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config on your system in the notepad and make sure overrideModeDefault is set to Allow for the following sections:
    <section name="staticContent" overrideModeDefault="Allow" />

    <section name="caching" overrideModeDefault="Allow" />

    <section name="requestFiltering" overrideModeDefault="Allow" />

    Most likely at least one of the aforementioned elements has overrideModeDefault="Deny".
    Please reply to this thread if this solves the issue.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Cathy,

    the issue is still there. I guess this is an IIS missing configuration despite all installation product was succesfull.

    When I wrote http://localhost:8080/tfs/web at IE8, and IIS log files under C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC8080 told me:

    #Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 7.0
    #Version: 1.0
    #Date: 2010-06-01 07:29:32
    #Fields: date time s-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query s-port cs-username c-ip cs(User-Agent) sc-status sc-substatus sc-win32-status time-taken
    2010-06-01 07:29:32 ::1 GET /tfs/web - 8080 - ::1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+6.0;+Trident/4.0;+GTB0.0;+SLCC1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.21022;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+FDM;+InfoPath.2;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30729;+.NET4.0C;+.NET4.0E;+OfficeLiveConnector.1.5;+OfficeLivePatch.1.3) 500 19 33 5

     Ok Error 500.19 (Isn't it?)

    Well. I located for TF services. They are placed at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010\Application Tier\Web Services\TeamFoundation\Administration\v3.0. I grant (because I wasn't) with Anonymous (ISR_ user and group) and Networkservice (as Application pool is). I typed http://localhost:8080/tfs/web/TeamFoundation/Administration/v3.0/AdministrationService.asmx for testing. And the log above there is a new entry:

    2010-06-01 07:36:28 ::1 GET /tfs/web/TeamFoundation/Administration/v3.0/AdministrationService.asmx - 8080 - ::1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+6.0;+Trident/4.0;+GTB0.0;+SLCC1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.21022;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+FDM;+InfoPath.2;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30729;+.NET4.0C;+.NET4.0E;+OfficeLiveConnector.1.5;+OfficeLivePatch.1.3) 500 19 33 2

    Can anybody give some light in my darkness?

    Cheers,

  • Hi Vladimir,

    pure repition of your proposed solution doesn't solve the problem :-)

    I have the same problem and the file on my host is correct according your items.

    Are there any other ideas except for a new installation?

    Best regards

    Dirk
