Simple query about Rules and the Junk folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a web form which sends email addresses to my hotmail address. The sender varies obviously but I want to avoid these messages landing in Junk. I tried using a standard subject line and using a Rule like "If Subject='standard subject' then Move message to Inbox" but this does not stop the messages from landing in Junk.

Does anyone know of a simple solution to keep these messages out of Junk and in my Inbox using hotmail.com on Windows 7?

  • If you're talking about the Outlook Client, take a look at the Safe Senders and Safe Recipient lists in the Junk E-mail settings.

  • Hi, I'm afraid it is Outlook.com I am using so I'm not aware of ANY code being available :( I do apologise for posting this here, the answer I received in the forum where I originally posted was not very helpful (!) and I was advised to repost here (!!)

I think I'd better go fill in the social support questionnaire!!

  • I have to repeat I'm afraid it is Outlook.com I'm using, I am very tempted to also get a version of Outlook client which may serve my needs better.

Sorry to say the "safe sender" list would be of no use as the sender will vary for each email I receive: I am collecting email addresses and the form software I am using doesn't allow me to alter the "sender" of the mails to something recognisable!

    Thanks for the reply though.
