How do you update sender email address for a message item? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In outlook mail app, how do you construct a soap request to update the sender's email address? Is that possible? Every time I try to do it it says "Message is not a draft"

  • Amre,

As the error indicates, you can only set the sender on a draft message, e.g. a message that hasn't been sent. It is not possible to change the sender of an already sent message (otherwise you could make any message look like they've been sent by whoever you want, which is not desirable).

  • Hi Amre,

could you please clarify - using makeEwsRequestAsync, you're trying to change the sender of the message that the app activated on?
