  • Hi,

I have one console application (Client project) which is connected to a service. Service project contains many methods. I want to accss the available service methods in Client. When I run the project it is working fine there is no issues. But when I run the installers after make the projects as .msi files the client is throghing an error like "there was no endpoint listening at 'http://jayahar:2000/Service' that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details". Any idea?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Jayahar

  • Those machines might not be resolving the address properly.  Try changing the endpoint referenced on the client to refer to an IP address instead of a hostname.

It's also possible there are some firewall issues here blocking port 2000.

In short, it means the client machine can't connect to the service.
