Best practice for Shraepoint Customization RRS feed

  • Hii All,

     I ve one sharepoint site, within which I ve my own custom application. thing is i ve few forms used to take input from user. now when user clicks "Add new Item" in sharepoint list, there i want to show my custom form and data should go in sharepoint list as well as in SQL database also.

    Also this sharepoint list will have event receiver, workflows, timer jobs, so how should i make step for deployment on production server?

    Please suggest me best practice, coz I already have solution but its not best practice.

  • Hi,

    You can create a list definition with custom content type having all the metadata columns.

    You can also create custom edit/new forms as per your requirement.

    (OR)

    You can also create InfoPath Forms as stated by Satish.
