How to know wether my Windows store App is installed using Web Application

Question

Hi,

I was trying to launch a windows store app from a web application and was able to do this with the help of the thread posted previously. Its working as expected when the app is installed.

Priory launching, now I want to check whether the app is installed or not, If not installed I want to redirect him to another web page or so.

Any help on how could it be done. (I don't want to link it to windows store app using protocols).

You cannot. Web pages are sandboxes from the system and cannot examine it. You can provide a link to the app as suggested in the other thread (will work if the app is installed) or to the store as documented at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/Hh974767.aspx or you can trigger IE's app switch behaviour as documented at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsstore/archive/2012/02/22/linking-to-your-apps-on-the-web.aspx

Im not sure wether it could be perfect way or not but using navigation.NavigationUri method for launching a protocol could help
