    Hi Guys,


    I am creating an outlook task. i am able to send it without any errors. But the recipient is not able to accept/decline/open the task. please find my code below. (VS 2005)


    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application outlookApp = new Application();
            Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.TaskItem oTask = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.TaskItem)outlookApp.CreateItem(OlItemType.olTaskItem);
            oTask.Subject = "This is my task subject";
            oTask.DueDate = Convert.ToDateTime("07/16/2010");
            oTask.StartDate = Convert.ToDateTime("07/16/2010");
            oTask.ReminderSet = true;
            oTask.ReminderTime = Convert.ToDateTime("07/16/2006 02:40:00 PM");
            oTask.Body = "This is the task body";
            oTask.SchedulePlusPriority = "High";
            oTask.Status = OlTaskStatus.olTaskInProgress;
            oTask.Save();

    recipient "xyz@xyz.com" is getting following error when he tries to accept/decline/open the task


    "cannot open this item. Outlook cannot do this type of action on this type of attachment"

    Is there any anti-virus software running on the system.

    It seems that the anti-virus software's e-mail scanning functions were affecting the format of the e-mailed task update in such a way that Outlook could not handle it.

    Try disabling the e-mail scanning functionality in the anti virus software.
