hi to all,
i am getting the below error message while installing the sql server 2008 enterprise edition on my laptop.
the current operating system is of x86 architecture.this media is not supported for running on the system.
my system configuartion is :
windows 7 enterprise.
32 bit os
4 gb ram
kindly provide me the solution to this .i allready installed enterprise now expiry date is over.

You first need to determine which supported edition of SQL 2008 you want to install on your Win 7. Then downlaod the media accordingly from MSDN subscription. If you dont have the subscription you can go for the free edition i.e. SQL 2008 Express. Prior to install this free edition you might want to uninstall the expired edition.

You are trying to install a version of SQL Server 2008 that is not compatible with x86 .i.e. You're probably trying to install the x64 or IA64 version. Run the installation in the x86 directory of your media

i already installed and used it ,now 180 days are over ,thats why reinstalling it,
plz sne dme proper link for enterprise edition.

Despite that EE is not supported on W7, I have seen many people who do install EE on W7, means "does not support but allow install"

You will not be able to reinstall the evaluation edition unless re format your machine.
