How does SQL Server manage multiple calls to the same stored procedure from different threads? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've searched SQL Server Books Online but can't seem to find the answer to this question: How do I reliably make calls to a SQL Server stored procedure from multiple components, each of which could be running on a separate thread? Does SQL Server have its own threading model? Will using a feature such as transactions or locks handle the possibility of conflicts?

I am using .NET 4.0, C#, and SQL Server 2005.
