Thanx Novice Kid for your post. It really helped me. Actually I got a requirement to develop a windows service which in the specified interval will fire query and retrieve data from database and dislay it. I got a requirement that  the process should be carried using threads. We need to give three buttons. 1 is Refresh in which time interval such as 5seconds,10 seconds,15 seconds, etc will be given according to which the gridview will refresh, 2nd is Abort button which will abort the process and 3rd is to pause/resume in which if i click on pause button the service should pause and the text on the button should change as resume and when i will click on resume button the service will resume and the text on the button will change as pause same like the play/pause button in windows application. Can anyone help me out?
