  • Hi shrikesh,

    I suspect your issue may be more about Silverlight project.

    Please check the thread below.

    http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/760967

    If your issue is the same with the thread, please try the solution from the thread.

    Based on Process Monitor output, Visual Studio is looking for in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\CLSID\ for a key named {B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}. For whatever reason, VS 2011 Pro's installer doesn't always create this key.

    This key can be created manually as follows (adapted from how VS 2010 Pro set up the equivalent key):

    === Patch.reg ===
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\CLSID\{B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}]
    "Class"="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight.SigningPropertyPageComClass"
    "Assembly"="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
    "ThreadingModel"="Both"
    "InprocServer32"="c:\\Windows\\SysWOW64\\mscoree.dll"
    @="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight.SigningPropertyPageComClass"

    The forum supports .net framework setup. If your issue is not about Silverlight project, please give me more information about your issue. How do you get the issue?

    Regards.

  • Visual Studio 2012 PRO (Windows 7 64 bit machine)  is looking KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\CLSID\ for a key named {B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}. VS 2012 Pro's installer doesn't create this key.

    I have created as Samson Sun suggested , I got  the below Error

    "An error occurred trying to load the page.
    Unable to create the designer.  File is already opened in an incompatible editor"

  • Thanks Samson Sun. Working fine.

    Visual Studio is looking for in for a register key named {B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}.VS 2012 Pro's installer doesn't create this key.So we need to create this registry-key manually ,

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\CLSID\{B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\CLSID\{B07DA5DD-055B-4018-88F3-3A433FDB9B25}

        "Class" = "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight.SigningPropertyPageComClass"
        "Assembly" = "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,      PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
        "ThreadingModel" = "Both"
        "InprocServer32" = "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\mscoree.dll"
        "Default" = "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Silverlight.SigningPropertyPageComClass"
