    Hi,

    while I am trying to add entity Model I am getting the below error . Can you please guide me how to resolve this issue.

    The error occurred while connecting to the Database. The database might be unavailable . An exception of type System.Xml.XmlException' occurred in System.Xml.dll but was not handled in user code 

    Additional information: Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 256, position 24.

    Hi Venkat,

    According to the error message, it seems that the issue is related to the DataBase. I suggest you check the DataBase, and make sure it is available. And you could also check the connection string.

    Besides, if possible I suggest you could post the relevant code.
