customsheetview problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

not sure I'm at the right place.  But I take my chance.  I'm experiencing some issue with an Excel XLSX file.  The file is getting bigger and bigger.  But the main problem is the memory it's taking when I open it.  I need to tell you that this is a shared file.  So I searched the web and tried many things but without any luck.  I deleted all the sheet content, so now my document is only having one sheet which is empty and my file is still more than 4mo and uses more than 400mo of RAM.  So I decided to look in the xlsx content and found a huge sheet1.xml file.  I looked at it and found that this file contains thousands of customsheetview elements. So I opened back the file with excel and went to the "custom views" section but there was only a couple (around 20).  So my question is what are those customsheetview?  Why are there so many and how can I get rid of them (without editing the xml file)?

    Thank you.
