What is a "Formatted Class" RRS feed

  • Question

  • The phrase "formatted class" appears repeatedly in the .Net documentation, particularly when discussing interop and marshaling.

Can anyone point me at the documentation that says "A formatted class is..." ?

    Many thanks

  • Its basically a class where you provided extra formatting attributes for the marshaller so it knows how to pack/unpack it from/to an unmanaged structure, see this sample for uhh a sample :)
