CF 2.0 and client-side certificate-based authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi !
I've read that the CF 2.0 does not handle client-side certificate-based authentication. Firstly, I wonder if this is true. Secondly how to build client side authentication then ? Does somme things already exist ? i'm working with CF 2.0 in C# and with windows Mobile 2003 (which works fine with client authentication with internet explorer)

  • Yes, unfortunately CF 2.0 does not have client side authentication for https. This is one of the features that we are looking to enable in the next release of NETCF. For now, either you will have to build one from scratch or use 3rd party components. I am not aware of any 3rd party components that do this from my internet searches.

    Thanks,
