Service Broker/Notification Messages - <Info>Options</Info><Source>Statement</Source><Type>Subscribe</Type> RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am trying to get Notification Services running on a x64 Sql server 2008 instance. It works ok on a local X86 installation but when ever I start the RL I am spammed with :

    <Notification xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/Notification/"><Info>Options</Info><Source>Statement</Source><Type>Subscribe</Type></Notification>

    Not sure whats going on.

    I have also executed these commands ( apart from the set enable_broker statment I didnt have to do anything else on my local copy and it all works ok)

    ALTER DATABASE database SET ENABLE_BROKER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE;

    use database

    GRANT CREATE PROCEDURE TO "doman\user";
    GRANT CREATE SERVICE TO "doman\user";
    GRANT CREATE QUEUE TO "doman\user";
    GRANT REFERENCES ON CONTRACT::[http://schemas.microsoft.com/SQL/Notifications/PostQueryNotification] TO "doman\user";
    GRANT SUBSCRIBE QUERY NOTIFICATIONS TO "doman\user";
    GRANT CONTROL ON SCHEMA::[dbo] TO "doman\user";
    GRANT IMPERSONATE ON USER::DBO TO "doman\user";

  • turns out that the compatibility mode of the database was SQL2000 changing to 2005/2008 works.
