Microsoft Access 2013 Graph Chart - click event RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I create an event for a bar chart? e.g. when clicking a bar chart series (one bar/point in the graph) a event is executed and display a query of the underlying data.

    Thank you.

  • That is not supported by the built-in graph control. It is rather simple and has not been updated for many years. Find another ActiveX control that does support this feature.

I wonder if you could do this in Excel?

  • Hi Kingelk,

By Default the events are only available for the chart only. that you can see in the pic below. there is no any event for the bar series.

you had mentioned that you want to show the data when clicking on the chart series.

when you double click on the chart then it will open a Datasheet that display the data in it like below in the pic.

This is the only work around to show the data when you click on chart.

    Regards

    Deepak
