service.msc not working without SMB RRS feed

  • Question

  • The "service.msc" will only work when Simplified Message Block (SMB) is enabled. However when SMB is enabled then NFS service is enabled, and that will slow down the system. In regular versions of Windows 7 NFS is disabled by default and service.msc is working. So why in embedded standard 7 service.msc is not working? I have checked the files needed to launch service.msc in system32 and en-us folder are not missing, so what has caused problems like this?
