I have just installed Internet Information Services, and Visual Studio.NET with the intention of working on an existing ASP.NET project. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the debug mode to work on ANY ASP.NET project. The debug mode will work for the other development modes (vb, c++ etc), but not for ASP.NET
I hit F5 to enter debug mode, and it returns a windows error.
Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. The project is not configured to be debugged.
For ASP.NET projects, verify that you have a valid project file called 'Web.config' for the URL specified and 'debug' is set to 'true' in that file.
Well, as far as I can tell, I do have a valid 'Web.config' file. All of my services are running properly. I have have my user ID set to administrator, and I have tried numerous remedies to no avail. If anyone has had this problem before and has some suggestions (or a clear solution), anything would be greatly appreciated.
