Email action in workflow not working if any one the users is blank RRS feed

  • I have a workflow to send emails to a set of users . Now in my list i have two columns "Managers" and "Point Persons" , both person and group type column. I am basically sending mails to users saved in these two columns . But if values in any of the column is blank then no alerts are sent out. Only when both the columns have values mails are triggered else not .

    Please help! How can i resolve this

    I tried to reproduce this issue, but it work well.

    You need to check whether the condition needs both columns with value to send the email.

    Or you can create another new workflow on another new list with same 2 person and group type columns, and just send the email without any condition, in "Email this message" dialog you can click the "Browse" icon at the end of "To" field and Lookup the current item that 2 person columns by clicking "Workflow Lookup...", then check the result, it should send the email to the user, even if any one of these 2 columns is blank.
