  • Question

  • Hi,

We are using AForge.NET 2.2.5 in our C# Graphical application.

I am looking to find to know whether AForge.NET is installed or not automatically.

When I install AForge.NET noticed that the following registry key is created.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\AssemblyFolders\AForge.NET]
    @="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AForge.NET\\Framework\\Release"

Or is there a best way to identify a method which works on all version of Windows like Winodws 8 and 10.

    Best Regards,

    GSR

According to your description, it seems that you want to check if AForge.NET 2.2.5 installed in windows system. If it is the case, as far as I know, there two methods to achieve it.

    option 1#

Detecting installed programs via registry. As you said, we could check if related registry key is created.

    option 2#

We could also Use PowerShell to Find Installed Software. For more information, please refer to:

In addition, since AForge.NET 2.2.5 is third-party framework, I would suggest that you could post your issue on AForge.NET 2.2.5 forum for better support.
