Problem in VB.Net 2010 import of VB.Net 2008 project RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an application in VB.Net 2008 that runs smoothly. I imported it into VB.Net 2010, and all appeared Ok until I tried to open the various forms I have in the app.

Some forms show Ok in the Designer; but some do not. I get an error that an "ObjectType value is Null".

In practice, some components on these forms seem to have disappeared, but I cannot tell which ones have vanished.

Originally, the project was written in VB6. After importing in VB.Net 2008, I had to edit all the calls, etc. until the app ran smoothly which is the case now.

Could the problem I am facing with VB.Net 2010 be linked to the fact that the VB6 conversion to VB.Net 2008 uses VB.Compatibility tools such as TextBoxArray, etc ?

Or should I look elsewhere ?
