Visual Studio 2015 Intellisense not displaying all Options when using a Visual Studio 2013 Project

    Question

  • I have just Upgraded to VS 2015, however i have a problem. If i go to write some code and such as..

    Form1.(Textbox1 should be an Option)

However the Textboxes, Comboboxes etc wont display as dropdown options, Its incredibly frustrating.

Again I have been using VS 2013 and have opened the Project with VS 2015 I assume this is the Issue? That i havent done something to convert the forms to 2015?

    How can I fix this,

    Cheers,

  • Hi friesej,

Is this project create by VS2013 or VS2015? If created by VS2013, please create a new project with VS2015 to make sure whether this problem occurs with all project in Visual Studio 2015.

Please check the IntelliTrace settings in menu Tools -> Options as below listed.

    IntelliTrace:

    • General -> Checked "Enable IntelliTrace".
    • IntelliTrace Events -> Gesture -> Checked all the controls events

    Text Editor:

    • Statement completion -> Checked "Auto list memebers"

In addition, Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 has been released, please install Update 1 for Visual Studio from below link.
