how to add a physical signature to a pdf document?

am using database to create a .pdf document

My manager wants to know if I can have it so that users

can physical sign (signature) the document without downloading
by using a signature pad.

I want to know if anybody has experience with doing this and what advice they can give.

what device do I need to buy etc.

I recommend Topaz Systems... http://www.topazsystems.com/signaturepads.html.  They have a variety of signature pads, and an API for ASP.Net development.  I advise that whatever brand you buy, get one first and try it out.  Write an app that simulates what you are trying to do.  Topaz has very good documentation, examples, and tech support.
