  • In call option, it asks for number to enter, if in case the mobile is lost then ok, chances are there to have the sim in cell, but if its theft then there is no way that same SIM will be in cell, so on basis of what it will ring/lock/erase ??

  • Ring will only work if your phone has SIM Card. To show on map, erase and lock it will use push notifications so you will need WiFi or Data Connection, and following checkboxes should be checked.

  • It is obvious that it should have SIM and Data Connection.!!

But my question is while registering it asks to enter SIM number. If in case same SIM is not put into cell, whether the feature will work ??

Like whether the SIM is the only criteria or IMEI number also will be checked ??

  • AFAIK, even if SIM is removed or changed, if data connection/WiFi is ON then location of the phone can be tracked, and probably you can also lock/erase it. But if phone is hard-reset then you can't track above information.
