Hyper V Virtual Machine - Disk Management - Volumes Failed/Spanned... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

On the Hyper Host file directory for one of my VMs the folder that contains all of that vm's information is just about 600 gigs. Note, I do not have any snapshots.

On the VM, the hard disk is allocated to 299 Gigs of space with 75 gigs free.

I'm trying to figure out why the VM is taking 300 more gigs than I allocated for this VM.

On the VM, I noticed in Disk Management that there are Gigs of Failed and missing drives, I think this is what the culprit is.  Is it safe to delete these? I need to free up space as the physical hard drive only has about 200 MB left of space.

    Thanks for your help!
