wcf-sap adapter & ordered delivery RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

Is it possible to enforce wcf-sap to publish idoc into MessageBox in the same order that SAP send to the adapter ?

Has anyone already experienced that ?

    Thanks,

  • I checked in the binding properties (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd788572(BTS.10).aspx) and could not find a property for ordered delivery. So the next step was to check if some WCF functionality might support this. I do not know if ordered delivery over WCF reliable sessions is compatible with the WCF-SAP adapter but this is something you could try.

Here is a link on creating a custom binding using reliable sessions with the ordered attribute that you would set to true: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa480191.aspx. So initially you would import the binding file generated by the Add Generated Item\Consume Adapter service wizard. But then you could export the config file in the port and then add the elements to the config for the custom binding, and finally reimport the config file.

Again, I am not sure if this would work for ordered delivery but would be how I would expect it to work.

    Thanks,

  • I forgot there is port properties designer support for a custom binding on the port: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd203050(BTS.10).aspx. So you just need to setup a reliable session one with Ordered="true" as long as the protocol used with WCF-SAP supports sessions.
