  • well i cant do in detail, and making the php service is bit out of scope of this forum. but here are the steps you have to take:

    - create the php service that returns xml, see http://davidwalsh.name/web-service-php-mysql-xml-json

    - create a store application

    - use the httpclient like Anne Jing refered to contact the php service

    - use XDocument class to parse the xml

  • Hi,

According to your description, you want to connect to a remote .php website in windows
    store app. Am I right?

You can use the HttpClient class to get a remote website (which can be of
course a php site). Please refer to this document below:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/xaml/hh761504.aspx

And there is a sample code you can follow up:

    http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/HttpClient-sample-55700664
    Best Wishes!
