Blend is Missing, Not Finding Critical System Assembly References RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a VS2008 WPF project that is working fine.  I was designing the UI using Expression Blend 2 SP1.  It seems that over the past few weeks, perhaps Windows Update added something that broke the project reference (just a guess).  VS2008 still reads and compiles the project fine.  But Expression Blend 2 SP1 can't seem to find the references to any system assembly, System, System.Drawing, PresentationCore, etc.

Please, I can't seem to figure this one out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Brennon, you were right.  I don't use SVN but that lead me down a path to go through my sln and csproj files with a fine tooth comb.  I realized that one of our standard operating procedures bit me in the behind.  We always delete the Debug/Release configurations and create new Debug32/Debug64/Release32/Release64 configurations.

Expression Blend seems to recognize only "Debug" and "Release" configurations with exactly those names!

So the Jack & Coke is on me.

    Bottoms up!
