Number of queries limitation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've read in the documentation of stream analytics that there are some limitation regarding the number of queries:

"The maximum number of supported queries for a given input source is five. "

We have around 14 stream analytics jobs querying the same event hub and some of then are not running correctly.

The AMQP object link46380 is aborted.

Does that limitation above mean that only 5 queries are supported for the same event hub or for the same input.

Is there any way we can change that? The data we are sending to the event hub is not that much so we would not need multiple event hubs.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hi, ASA recently added a feature to allow an Event Hub consumer group to be specified for the input. With that, each ASA job input should be configured to have its own Event Hub consumer group. When a job contains self-join or multiple outputs, some input may be read by more than one readers, which causes the total number of readers in a single consumer group to exceed the Event Hub’s 5 reader per consumer group limit. In this case, the query will need to be broken down into multiple queries and intermediate results routed through additional Event Hubs. Note, there is also an Event Hub limit of 20 consumer groups per Event Hub.
