Driver Development on Windows Embedded Standard 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am interested to know which driver model is used on Windows Embedded Standard 7? Is this follows the same model which is followed on Windows 7(Desktop) using WDF or does it goes with Windows CE model of driver development?

If possible kindly send me some link of msdn or any resource which can enable developer to get quickly adapted to Windows Embedded Standard 7.

    Thanks..

  • If it runs on Windows 7, it will run on WES 7 so long as you have the right packages in the image. Same drivers that work with Windows 7 will work with WES7.

  • Windows Embedded Standard 7 is based on the Desktop Windows 7 Operating System. So it uses the same driver model as on desktop Windows 7.

The following link is a starting point http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsembedded/default.aspx
