Outlook 2007 Add-In Not Loading on Outlook 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have built a VTSO office add-in using Visual Studio 2008 (C#,vsto 2.0 runtime) targeting office 2007 as the minimum version. Works fine on 2007 and 2010 version of outlook, word, excel and power point.

It is also working on 2013 version of word, excel and power point but do not load on outlook 2013. We do not get any kind of error message.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Vikas

  • Hi,

Take a look at the following update rollup, issue 5:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2796590

Seems like it might be your problem. Try to install the latest version of VSTO -http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39290

  • Hi Yoav,

Thanks for help, the links you provided is for the addins developed over VS2010...but my addins is developed on VS2008 and vsto2.0.

  • Hi Vikas,

Issue 5 talks about add-ins that are built with VSTO 2.0(2005) and not VSTO 2010.

If you have VSTO 4(2010) version 10.0.31125 and below (that is included with office 2013 installation), those add-ins will not work.

  • Hi YoavY,

Again thanks for your quick response, but as I have mentioned in my original question, my addin is working fine on Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but not on Outlook. If this is the case (suggested in Issue 5) then it should not work with Word, Excel and Powerpoint also.

    Please suggest ...

    Thanks
